The shop is equipped with a metal lathe, vertical knee mill and CNC milling machine which I am pleased to offer for small repair and fabrication work.
About Me
As a young boy my grandparents took me to visit Lower Fort Garry; a well preserved site with a functioning trading post and other historical amenities. While visiting the blacksmiths’ shop, I watched in wonder as the smith made nails and hooks in a coal forge from a length of steel. After completing a nail, he quenched it in a bucket, handed to me and changed my world. What had once been an unremarkable piece of steel was now a useful object and I needed to know how accomplish such an amazing feat.
Fast forward from that day, half a lifetime later, and I am lucky enough to have a forge of my own and even more fortunate to be the benefactor of skills graciously taught to me by friends and mentors throughout the years. It is my sincere desire to employ my skills and craft beautiful items for you from otherwise unremarkable steel.
